Thank you for another great week at Kender, your support with getting the children to school on time everyday helps to make this happen. Across the school the children continue their work on the whole school project on Time. There are some fantastic projects taking shape, which will be displayed throughout the school. We hope that the lifting of the Covid-19 restrictions will allow us to invite parents into school in September to see the completed work. All in all, another successful week at Kender thanks to our children and staff.
Some parents are still parking on the yellow lines or outside the school gates on Briant Street and Kender street, during drop off and collection times. our children’s safety is paramount and incorrect parking is putting them at risk.
The highway code also states:
You MUST NOT wait or park, or stop to set down and pick up passengers, on school entrance markings
Please help us to keep our children safe by following the Highway Code

Please check the date for your child’s trip above.
Some parents have expressed concerns about the children going to the sea-side. Please rest assured we have carried out a full risk assessment of the venue, including Mrs Brown and Mr Vinnicombe carrying out a visit. The children will not be swimming, but can paddle at the edge under strict supervision. We have also arranged gazebos to provide shade.
A gentle reminder that the £10 contribution needs to be paid by the day of your child’s trip. Payment should be made via Arbor.
The coach will leave at 8.30am. Children need to be at school for 8.00am. We aim to be back at school by 4.30pm. Parents will be kept updated throughout the day via our school Twitter page.
Children will need a packed lunch, unless they are entitled to free school meals, and enough drink for a long day. Please also ensure they have sun cream.
Medication in School
We are unable to give children medicines, including eye drops, if they have not been prescribed by a doctor. All medicines need to be in their original packaging and must be clearly labelled with the child’s name and dosage. Parents will be asked to complete a medicine administration form, before any medicines can be given. Thank you for your cooperation.
We had a lovely walk on Saturday 19th June. The children who took part did incredibly well and walked without any complaints. I recommend this walk to anyone looking for an activity during the weekend and the summer holiday. My favourite part was walking beside the river and stumbling across a lovel...

FSM entitlement @KenderSchool has increased from 26.78% in Jan20 to currently 36.77%. Our funding has not increased proportionately: we lost £22.4k because the govt changed the date it funds Pupil Premium. Schools are required to do more with less. https://t.co/SEiaWQjOUt
