We are near the end of a fantastic return to school. A big thank you to all parents and carers for your support with the children’s transition back to school. Attendance has been high, and behaviour has been great. We end this half term on Wednesday 31 March at 3.20 as normal. This will be a non-uniform day, no money needed. Children return after Easter on Tuesday 20th April.
A special thank you goes to Terry’s (year 2) mum, who donated face masks to the school. We appreciate this gesture and thank you for helping keep us all safe.
We continue a high focus on keeping the children and staff safe. Thank you to parents for helping us by wearing a face covering when collecting children, it is really important that we adhere to the safety measures put in place. If you are exempt from wearing a face covering, please come into main reception so we can register this. Thank you.
A gentle reminder. Please follow the one-way system in place when collecting children at the end of the day. Thank you.
Well attended and very productive meeting.
Progress on the school development plan
How the school successfully re settled the children
The Governors will visit the school in the summer term to see how the school's development plan is progressing.
Would you like to help support our school in becoming better?
Currently the Board of Governors has two vacancies for a Parent Governor. If you are interested you can nominate yourself, or another parent with their consent. Nomination forms can be collected from the main reception or found on the school website. If you would like further information, please contact Mr Barr: firstname.lastname@example.org will be happy to talk through the role and time commitments involved.
As part of your review of reading we are trailing the Bug Club Reading Programme across the school. Bug Club is a structured and flexible reading programme that can be accessed for independent reading as well as group and class reading. Children will be given their own log-in and will be able to access the resources and levelled books at home. More information will be sent out after the Easter break.
