Thank you to all the parents and carers who came to the church to see the children perform in our Carol Concert. It was a fabulous event and quite emotional at times. I have thanked all staff for their hard work in making this such a lovely concert. I think we will see more from the staff choir later in the year…
The children’s choir went to Lewisham this morning to sing carols in the shopping centre. Ms Brand kept them singing for over forty minutes. There are some clips on twitter should you wish to see and hear them in action.
I write to all staff at the end of term to thank them for their drive and hard work for all things Kender. It has been a very successful term and the concert yesterday was a fitting way to round off 2019. Also, I have reminded the children that they too have been fantastic this term. I keep telling them in assemblies and have been very proud of how well they have managed their own feelings and behaviours this term. They have also worked very hard too and are equally deserving of a rest.
Thank you to Friends of Kender for organising their Christmas Raffle. It was a huge success. All hampers have been collected and are at homes being enjoyed. We will share the total money raised in the new year.
Can I take time to remind you again that our latest Ofsted report is available on the school website and via the Ofsted site. I’m sure you will appreciate this has been a very long term for all staff at Kender. We are all shattered and looking forward to a rest over the break.
Today is the last day of term and all children should be collected at 2.30pm. We are all looking forward to the final event of the year, which is our annual Talent Show. There are over ten acts and all have been rehearsing hard for the show tomorrow.
A couple of dates for next term. We will be hosting two informal events for mums and dads to drop in and chat, drink tea/coffee. The dates are below, please pop on for both in your diary and we’ll see you there.
Friday 24th January: 9.00am to 10.30am
Friday 31st January: 2.00pm to 3.30pm
I’d like to take this opportunity to say thank you for the cards, gifts and kind words of praise and encouragement you offer to our staff. All are very much appreciated. I hope you all enjoy some family time this Christmas and I offer the very best of wishes for a peaceful and prosperous 2020.
I will look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday 7th January, ready for a new term.
