Friends of Kender are running a raffle. We have eleven hampers that you could win. Please keep buying raffle tickets. Each day until 9.15am on Tuesday 17th December, there will be a table in the playground where FoK are selling tickets for the raffle.
The raffle will be drawn on Tuesday 17th December at 10.30 and winners will be telephoned after the draw. Make sure we have your correct contact details please!
Our annual Carol Concert will take place this year at All Saints church on Tuesday 17th December at 2.00pm. All mums, dads and carers are welcome and there should be enough space for all who wish to attend to sit and enjoy the concert. We aim to finish at about 3.00pm and will bring all children back to school before dismissing them as usual from their classrooms. I ask parents to respect this decision and not ask to take children from the church. We are organising the end of the day in this way to ensure all children remain safe and are returned to you, safely and on time.

Can I take time to remind you again that our latest Ofsted report is available on the school website and via the Ofsted site. I’m sure you will appreciate this has been a very long term for all staff at Kender. We are all looking forward to a rest over the break. We are trying to make the last few days of this term as festive and as enjoyable as possible for all the children.
I do want to inform you that the children have been fantastic this term. I keep telling them in assemblies and have been very proud of how well they have managed their own feelings and behaviours this term. They have also worked very hard too and are equally deserving of a rest. Today, we’re all looking forward to a fabulous Christmas lunch today, singing songs, pulling crackers and telling awful jokes. They have earned some fun!!!!
I wish you all a warm and relaxing weekend.
Weekly Safeguarding update: I am pleased that Ofsted have recognised that safeguarding continues to be effective at Kender.
Please be reminded that Kender is a nut free school. Children should not bring into school any foods which contain nuts.
