It has been a really good week in school with plenty to celebrate.
I am really pleased that our attendance rate has improved this week. 97.7% is so much better than in recent weeks. Mums and dads, it is so important that children are in school everyday of the week. There is a clear link between high rates of attendance and good rates of progress.
If you want to help your child make good progress a good starting point is ensuring they are in school every day.
Being on time is also important. Please help us by bringing your child to school on time each day. The school gates open at 8.45 and children should be in their classrooms ready for learning just before 9.00am.
Please keep reading the school website and these newsletters when they arrive on your phone or computer. Our Twitter account is good to follow too! Class teachers will send you letters about trips and forthcoming class events. Please help them by being up to date with current class information and reading letters sent. If you can spare time to help on trips then this is always very much appreciated.
In case you were not aware, our new Premises Manager, Tom Slack, has started work. Tom has already revised the schedule of cleaning and is working with senior leaders to ensure the management of the premises is as effective as ever. You will notice we have ordered a skip and are starting a full and much needed spring clean.
Other dates on the horizon:
Monday 13thMay – SATs week for children in Year Six
Monday 20thMay – Health Week
Thank you for your continued support and wish you all a relaxing weekend. Please remember this is a long weekend and children should return to school on Tuesday 7th May at 9.00am.
