Welcome back to school and the start of the summer term. I hope you all enjoyed the Easter break and managed to find time to rest and relax with your families. The new term has started well and the children have returned to school ready for new and exciting learning.
This week we held one of four twilight staff meetings. The meeting was led by Jack Widdows from HeyDay films. Jack will be in school each Tuesday working with a selected group of children producing films about our core Kender values. Our annual summer project will have a focus of film and jack will be in school teach week over the summer term helping children and classes with producing films for their projects. Please look out for more information as the term progresses.
Also this week, our new Premises Manager, Tom Slack, started work. Tom has already revised the schedule of cleaning and is working with senior leaders to ensure the management of the premises is as effective as ever. You will notice we have ordered a skip and are starting a full and much needed spring clean.
Other dates on the horizon:
Monday 6thMay – school closed, bank holiday
Monday 13thMay – SATs week for children in Year Six
Monday 20thMay – Health Week
Thank you for your continued support and wish you all a relaxing weekend.
