Thank you to the parents/cares who assist us with issues of concern and issues of safeguarding that occur outside of school. We do listen and act on information that we are given.
School Uniform: I’ll remind you again that we do have a clear and distinct policy for school uniform; illustrations of the uniform can be found on the school website.
In terms of footwear, children can wear either plain back shoes or plain black trainers; we stress plain black. We have reminded all children in each class. From after half-term we will be strict with this policy and make phone calls home if children do not have the correct uniform.
Attendance and Lateness: we do understand that there is a lot of illness connected to the pandemic. Yet, this is receding and we are determined to get all children back to school and in school everyday. Please help us to help them by ensuring they are in school everyday.
Also, in school on time please. Gates open from 8.45 to 9.00am each morning and children can go straight into their classrooms when they arrive. We have a few children who are regularly late, please set your alarm a little earlier and they will be joining their friends at the correct time each day. It makes a very real difference to the start of their day.
HaloHair Project: Hello, my name is Mariama and I am one of the Year Six Crew from the Halo Hair project and I'm asking you if you could help us make this project one of the best! With your help.
Some of the items we need are: hair clippers, scissors, hair supplies, (hair bands, combs, bandanas, butterfly clips, slicking brush, mirrors, hair extensions, barbering gown, hair gel, wigs and hair nets). If you have experience as a barber, hairdresser or something similar please let us know. We are asking for mums or dads to be involved with this project and help us make our film. If you work in a salon and know someone who owns a salon please get in touch. You could be on film!!!!
We are also looking for an old or spare barber’s chair? Can anyone help???
Look out for the film-clip on Twitter….
Thank you, Mariama and the Halo Hair Project Team
