Friends Of Kender (PTA)
Who are the are the Friends of Kender?
Friends of Kender (FoK) is the name given to our Parent Teacher Association (PTA) here at Kender school. Every parent, guardian, teacher or carer of a child at Kender school is automatically a member of Friends of Kender.
Why are we here?
Our main aim is to raise funds to purchase items that would otherwise fall outside the school's budget. For example, one of the larger purchases we have made for the school is the chickens and their coop. We have also been able to provide every classroom with a selection of board games that can be used during wet play. Friends of Kender also provides an informal social network for parents. We are a friendly bunch - so if you want to get to know more parents within the school, please do consider joining us!
How does it work?
Friends of Kender is currently run by a core of volunteers who regularly attend meetings and help organise events such as cake sales, the Winter Fair, the school discos and our much enjoyed International Evening. We have an elected committee of officers; however, everyone is free to contribute as little or as much as they like, as infrequently or as often as they like.
