Kender Old Vic The Lorax

The children in Year 4 Morpurgo class were given the chance of a lifetime last week!

The children in Year 4 Morpurgo class were given the chance of a lifetime last week! The Old Vic, which has put on a performance of The Lorax, came to Kender Primary School school and provided a workshop. The children used drama to act out their own version of the Lorax, after which they created puppets and tried to make it as lifelike as possible. The workshop finished with a discussion about the impact of deforestation and pollution on our environment, linking well with our school values and curriculum.

After this workshop, we took a trip to The Old Vic to see the play in action. It was an excellent performance, much loved by our children! Favourite parts were the "rock 'n' roll motorbike", the "funny characters and songs" and the "farting bears". Much enjoyment and an experience of a lifetime all around!
