Children's writing...

Headteacher's schedule for reading children's writing is attached to this news item.

Each week I am spending time in classes looking at children’s writing. Today it was the turn of Year six. The children have started their learning about life during the Second World War. Here is a small sample of the writing I read:

“I woke up today feeling worried. I did not want to go to school; especially in these troubled times!”

“The woman had glistening gold hair and the man matched with old overalls.”

“The moment I left you I almost fainted because I knew I would not see you for three years!”

“Firstly, I had to go to school on a foggy and disruptive day…”
